Barnedåp

Tantebarnet mitt døpes i morgen, og her er kortet veslegutten får :)

Valgte et napkinfold kort, rett og slett fordi de er utrolig dekorative. Stempelet er fra Lily of the valley. Papirene jeg har brukt er fra Papirdesign, og punch fra Martha Stewart.

Melder på dette kortet på følgende utfordringer:
* Lili's little fairies - anything goes
* Papirdokkene - alt er lov

Juletag i hvitt

Birthday card for my sister-in-law

My husbands big sister, and my sister-in-law, had her 50th birthday this week. Yesterday she celebrated it surrounded by her entire family. I got the assignment of making her a card, and here's the result :)

I need to start taking my pictures in daylight... the colours never turn out the way they really are. This one really is soft pink and beige :p

And isn't my new corner die from Whimsy perfect? Looks a bit like the corner die from Quickutz (the one they stopped making before I knew I wanted it...).

And I've made my first pin! Bought a couple jars of pearls and some pins at Panduro, and made it myself. I'll be back to buy more pearls, I just needed to see if I liked it. And I did ;)

DPs from Magnolia
Ink:
Memento - rich cocoa
Stamps:

Christmas card #8

My second Christmas card in march. I've forgotten to comment on it lately, but my new years resolution of always using something new on my card, still stands.

This time I've got several new things on my card. I've had this stamp for a good while now, but today is the first time I actually make a card using it.

 Not easy to see, but I've used clear UTEE over the image. Put it in the freezer for a while and bent it to make a few cracks. Over at Hjerteboden that's the challenge this month, to use UTEE, and I thought it was perfect for this card as I think it adds to the vintage feel.

Size:
6" x 6"
Paper:
Cardstock: kraft
 DPs from 3ndy and magnolia
Ink:
Memento - rich cocoa, distress ink - vintage photo
Stamps:
Magnolia. Inside the card there's a christmas-sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad.
Colouring:
Promarkers
Other:
Dies from Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn dies (the doily) and Magnolia, taupe-coloured roses from WOC, seambinding ribbon, old paper with gothic writing, alphabet-stickers (spells "merry christmas"), pearls, snow writer to add a touch of snow on the roses, stickles - platinum, wooden spool from Jenny Bowlin (painted with white acrylic paint), string, UTEE

Challenges I'm entering my card in:
* Promarker Norge #3 - fargelegg i sarte, duse farger
* 3ndypapir - romantisk/shabby stil
* Kort O Mania - vintage
* Scrapperiket - Craft
* Hjertebodens juleblogg

Karens Doodles - something special

Recently, I won a challenge over at Nordsalten Hobbyclub (yay!). The prize were 3 digistamps of my choice from Karens Doodles. And wow - it wasn't easy to choose among all her lovely digistamps! Except for one - I knew I had to have it.

And I've used that image to make a card now. The challenge over at Karens Doodles this week, is "Something special". I've made a birthday card to my husband - because he's special to me <3. He's my personal car-fixer, and that's why I just HAD to have this stamp. It's absolutely perfect. And he liked it too!

 Isn't this image awesome? I fell instantly in love with it, but I guess I'm biased towards oil, grease and dirty work-clothes :p

6" x 6"

Christmas card #7

My plan of making 3 christmas cards a month is still going strong, and here's my 7th card this year - the first card in march.

Ever since I saw these christmas stamps from Stempelglede, I knew these would look good on a card with this folding technique. I have no clue what it's called, but I've seen it all over the internet. It's a fun card to make :)

 The front. I've used glimmermist - pearl on the red roses, but it doesn't show well. I've used puffy velvet white on the tree, to make it look like snow.

 The inside. Merry Christmas greeting, and plenty of space to write
Back. I haven't done anything here yet, as I haven't decided yet. Usually I just use my personal "handmade by"- stamp here. I took a picture to show the tag I've hidden here.

6" x 6"

Cardstock: nature
DPs from Maja Design
Ink:
Distress ink - walnut stain and fired brick
Stamps:
Norsk stempelblad, Panduro, Kort og Godt and North Star Stamps
