The wall...

A co-worker ordered a birthdaycard for a 50-year old man. She told me he's hooked on Pink Floyd, and asked if I could make a Pink Floyd-themed card. I said yes, but i was clueless on how to do it...

Anyway, after some googling to get inspiration, I ended up printing out a few images I found on the net, and make this card:

 A tag behind the image
The back of the tag. The numbers are vintage market-dies from Tim Holtz, embossed with silver embossingpowder.
The inside. Sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad
And the back.

No designpapers!! :o That's my very first time... :)

Another confirmation card

A confirmationcard for a boy today. A coworker ordered this card, and she asked me to use this image from Kenny K. Her son is a member of the red cross, so the sexy nurse was perfect (she could be a member too, right?!). I found an old text on the internet about the red cross history, and printed it to use on the card.

It's sort of a joy fold card, and I've used magnets to hold it together.

The card is 5" x 6,75", and I've used a MS border punch around the card. A few flowers from prima, a charm and embellies from Tim Holtz. Red and white pearls, and some liquid pearls - white opal around the image.

* Crafty Catz - card for a man
* Little darlings challenge - boy card

Confirmation

Wow... three posts from me today! :o

Anyway, prepare for a LOT of photos.... my niece's confirmation is on sunday, and I've spent hours making her a card. And I've loved every minute of it.

For the first time I've tried to make an explotion-box, hence the abundance of pictures.... The box measures 4 x 4 inches.

Lots of flowers from WOC. I've sprayed them with glimmermist-pearl. Stamp from Stempelglede. Butterfly-die from Magnolia. Pearl-string from Kort og Godt. I don't remeber where I bought the cross-charm...You can barely spot a doily behind the flowers... :p
One of the sides. Swirl and a metal-butterflie bought at Hjerteboden. The metal-embellishment on the lid are made from three different metal-pieces: The back, leaves and the flower. Added a white pearl in the middle. All sides of the lid have the same embellies. I've punched the lid with a MS-punch and used a white lace behind the metal embellies.
Two of the sides. A metalcorner and die from Magnolia. The oposide sides look the same as these two.

When I take off the lid, this is how it looks. I made three layers. The first layer all have wonderful sentiments from Lili of the Valley. I've made hearts using spellbinder dies. The butterflies are from MS-punch.

The box inside the box... :) Lots of roses from WOC on this lid too, plus a couple of charms, pearl string from WOC, and leaves from a Cheery-Lynn die. I've put stickles - cotton candy, platinum and waterfall on the leaves. On the sides I've put a flower from a Magnolia-die and a white pearl. All the flowers are sprayed with glimmermist - marshmallow.

The lid is off. This is where she'll find the money-gift ;)
Close-up of the first layer. I've put liquid pearls - white opal and platinum around the hearts. Stickles - waterfall og the blue butterfly, and stickles - cotton candy on the pink butterfly.

Close-up of the second layer. No embellies here, and I've stamped four different sentiments directly on the designpaper on this layer.
Close-up of the third layer. I've stamped sentiments on three of them, and left space to write a personal greeting on the fourth. Liquid pearl - white opal and platinum around the heart. I've sprayed the butterflies with glimmermist - marshmallow.

The papers used are the new "vintage summer basics" from Maja Design (I absolutely LOVE these papers!), plus pink, blue and white cardstock. Inked all the edges with vintage photo, and sentiments are stamped with archival ink - jet black.

I'm entering my explotion box into the following challenges:
* Creative Inspirations - anything goes

Here's my third christmas card this month. It's not easy to dig out motivation to make christmas cards when its 30C outside and we've spent the entire day on the beach... but - thankfully I got several stamps in the mail from Lili of the valley on friday, and I wanted to use one of them soon. Their stamps are just too cute :)

The inside matches the outside, with a stamped christmasgreeting on the left side, and space to write a personal greeting on the right side.

Cardstock: nature

Posekort x 2

Tagen nede i posen. Juleønske på ene siden, baksiden er helt lik, men med plass til å skrive personlig hilsen.
Gjorde det veldig, veldig enkelt på baksiden...

Her er posekort #2.

Magnolia - birthday

My second card today. I knew I wanted to join in on sketchy colors theme this week: pink, mint and white. And then the card practically made itself. With these colours it had to be the baby Tilda from Princes and Princesses, and Magnolia papers :)

A tag hidden behind the image.  The branches are a MS punch.
 The inside. Textstamp from Stempelglede.
And the back. The punching shows a bit better here.
Closeup to show the shaker-effect, using tiny, pink and mint beads. The mint-coloured roses are white roses coloured with distress stain - broken china and glimmermist - pearl. The butterflies are a magnolia-die, while the small butterflies inside is a MS punch.
The sentiment is stamped on Vellum.

Challenges I'm entering my card in:
* All sorts challenge - shaker card
* Sentimental sundays - card for kids
* Sketchy colors - mint, pink and white
* Nordsalten - flower power
* Little darlings challenge - flower power

Boogie down on your confirmation!

Wheee! I've made TWO cards today! How often does that happen....! :o

First card is a confirmation card for a girl, using the Kenny K image "Boogie down". I've used the incredible designpapers from 7 Dots Studio.

Coloured with promarkers. Textstamp from Stempelglede. Flowers from Prima. Dies from Spellbinders and MemoryBox (cut it in half). Pearlstring  from Kort og Godt.
I think this must be the first time where my inside doesn't completely match the front. But I really, really enjoyed the variation, and I like the result too. I've used the same dies from MemoryBox on the left side (but didn't cut it in half this time). Text from North Star Stamp. The swirl on the right side is from Kort og Godt. Plenty of room to write. I didn't want to make a white panel to write on, as these DPs are so lovely. They even look textured! Awesome :)
Simple back as always :p
